Polymer Clay Gift Tags

Last week, my work held their annual employee appreciation luncheon.  To make the flower centerpieces a little more special, I made “Thank You” gift tags to hang on the vases.  If you’d like to make your own custom gift tags, keep on reading. =)

Directions:

  • Use a fondant/cookie cutter to punch out the gift tag.  You can find a wide variety of different shape cutters at your local craft store.

07

  • Punch out a small circle with a straw.

04

  • Carefully place the gift tags onto an oven safe baking dish.
  • To harden, bake the polymer clay as directed.

02

  • Allow the gift tags to completely cool before handling.

03

  • Attach a piece of string or ribbon to each gift tag.

The gift tags can be used on vases like this one from Ikea, tied to party favors, or tied to gifts.  For example:

  • “It’s a boy/girl” on baby shower favors
  • “M ♥ A” or “M+A” on bridal shower favors
  • “To: Jessica” on birthday or Christmas gifts

“My First Year” Shadow Box: Khalaya

My coworker is throwing a Precious Moments themed baby shower and wanted to give a gift to the mommy-to-be.  Since a newborn’s first year goes by so quickly, she wanted the “My First Year” shadowbox/picture frame.

I can’t wait to see the frame filled up next year. =)

“My First Year” Shadow Box & Pillow: Kaia

I went to San Diego over the weekend to visit my cousins who just had their first baby girl, Kaia.  They had a big party when she turned 1 month old and requested a shadow box similar to Malia’s.

Since baby Kaia was born in June, the picture frames started with June.  This is a little different than Malia’s shadow box because as the months go on, my cousins will insert the baby pictures.

They liked the Hello Kitty and toy so we kept those the same.

Then added some building blocks to spell out her name and of course some books.

Their backyard is gorgeous so I took advantage of the photo opp!

They also bought this cute keepsake pillow and I used paint puff (Michaels) to write all of Kaia’s information.  Super cute!

Baby Kaia is so cute and so lucky to have parents who love her so much.  We’re all so incredibly happy for them and wish their new family the very best.  CONGRATULATIONS PENI AND TRANG!!
